GLENN THOMSON and STEPHANIE NGUYEN are a talented husband-and-wife dance team who bring energy, warmth, and decades of combined experience to every class they teach. Glenn has been dancing since 1988 and teaching professionally since 2006, while Stephanie has been dancing for 12 years. Together, they’ve been teaching on cruise ships since 2012 and continue to share their love of dance with guests around the world.
They don’t just teach steps—they teach connection. Glenn and Stephanie focus on the art of leading and following, helping guests truly dance with their partners rather than simply memorize patterns. As many passengers tell them, “we never get this kind of insight from other instructors!”
Specializing in all major American-style dances—including Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Tango, Cha Cha, Jitterbug, East Coast Swing, Nightclub Two-Step, Salsa, Merengue, and Samba—they make learning to dance approachable, enjoyable, and fun for all skill levels.
True to their passion, Glenn and Stephanie dance every night on board, encouraging their students to join them and put their new skills into practice. They also love giving back by offering free dance classes to the crew on longer itineraries—something few instructors do but that they believe makes the entire ship community stronger.
